In these paintings I've tried to distill the feelings of family into an image that can be recognized in the heart rather than analyzed for what they "mean". Conversations will arise about them in terms of what the viewer imagines is happening. I love that! I have my own intention for the painting, but each person who sees it brings their own experience and feeling and has a brand new sense of what it is. That's art.
